1. Soapmaking for the Holidays

Learn how to make your own homemade soap to give as holiday gifts! Choose from gingerbread, pine or peppermint scents. You’ll go home with about 10 bars for yourself or to give as impressive holiday treats to your family and friends.

2. Intergenerational Holiday Gift Make and Take 

Whatever holiday of light you celebrate this season, make it shine brighter with handmade gifts that children and adults can make together. Bring the family to “make and take” wonderful crafts for all ages including soap, tin lanterns, reusable beeswax food wraps, folded fabric star ornaments, hand-sewn ornaments, bird feeders, and wooden boxes. All proceeds benefit the Kagamega AIDS Orphans Care Center in Kenya. Pre-registration is appreciated.

3. Food Crafting for the Holidays

Learn how to make truly unique and special home crafted food gifts for the holiday season! Projects will include food ornaments, liqueurs, gourmet mustard, and candied fruits. Participants will take home samples and recipes, knowledge and a healthy dose of holiday cheer.

4. The Nutcracker

Follow young Clara and her nutcracker on their journey through the snow as Tchaikovsky’s cherished score is played by a live orchestra and choreography beautifully danced by students and alumni of Eastern Ballet Institute of Concord. Join in on the fun in the Land of Sweets. This show is a true family treat!

5. Midnight Merriment

Come celebrate the 27th Annual Midnight Merriment! This festive and family-oriented event kicks off the holiday season and offers a variety of holiday fun and activities. More than 5,000 people visit downtown to shop, socialize, eat, and enjoy a variety of holiday themed activities and entertainment. As a free, family and community driven event, Midnight Merriment helps to build and maintain community well-being which is vital to a healthy downtown.
